On March 13, 2025, Dr. Jose Morey—CEO of Ad Astra Media and widely known as “Dr. Intergalactic”—will join the panel “Building Responsible Tech with the Latinx Community” at SXSW Interactive in Austin, Texas. Scheduled for 10:00 a.m. CT, the session brings together leaders from across technology and advocacy, including Nora Benavidez (Free Press), Lili Gangas (Kapor Foundation), and Brian Gonzales (IBM/JFF), to explore how technology can be developed and deployed in ways that empower and protect Latinx communities.

As a physician, technologist, and innovation strategist who has worked with NASA, IBM Watson Health, and other global organizations, Dr. Morey will offer his perspective on ethical tech development and the opportunities to bridge cultural representation, equity, and innovation. The panel reflects SXSW’s commitment to fostering inclusive dialogue around the future of technology and its social impact.
